We just wanted to let you know how happy we are with the service you provided for our trip. After using other "pet sitters", you clearly went above and beyond any previous service we've used in the past. You are way more than someone who watches pets. You provide a peace of mind, that while away, allowed us to relax, knowing all aspects of our home while away were taken care of. I would strongly recommend Barbara. She is such a professional, detail minded person. She took care of our dog and two cats while we were away on vacation and it made our trip so much better knowing that our pets were cared for in our home. And she takes care of little things like getting the mail and watering plants too! Barbara is the best and I will definitely use her again.

Barbara took care of our dogs while staying at our home. We usually board them for vacations and knew there had to be a better option.
We found it! To say it was perfect is an understatement! Barbara came over a couple of times in the weeks before we left to meet the dogs and go over all the details of their care to make sure she was prepared.
She also watered the garden, flowers, put garbage cans out, and left our house clean and just as we left it. She kept in touch w us and sent us pictures of the pups :)
She is a kind and compassionate person who we trusted from our first meeting.
No more boarding for our dogs! I cannot recommend Barbara enough!

When I left my pets with Barbara it was the first time I’d had anyone besides family watch my fur babies for an extending period of time. Looking for someone to stay in my home was my main priority as I had 2 dogs that had just turned a year old who had never been without myself or my husband. I looked on Rover and even met with someone but it didn’t leave me feeling confident. I was contemplating cancelling my trip when I somehow came across Barbara’s website. The first time I spoke with her on the phone I knew this would be a good match…as long as she was willing to take on two 1 year old dogs and 3 cats! Her home visit was extremely thorough, staying over an hour to meet the pets and go over everything...and I mean EVERYTHING! Needless to say when she left I had no reservations and finally felt like I could go on vacation without stressing about my pets. While I was gone, she proactively requested information to keep my pets as close to their usual schedules as possible and on top of all this, was also available for household needs like checking the mail or even restocking your fridge. She came back to my home again right before our trip for another hour to go over details once more and neither of these visits had a cost which made me feel her overall rates were not only reasonable but also fair— especially since she would be spending every day and night with my animals. While on my trip she checked in, sent photos, kept me abreast of all happenings and proactively asked questions which I absolutely appreciated. I came home to happy, well-cared for pets AND a house that was cleaner than I left it. Best of all I was able to enjoy my family trip without the tiniest shred of worry which, as a dedicated pet mom, is absolutely priceless. I would recommend Barbara to anyone! She is thorough, a fellow pet lover, reliable, and just an overall awesome person!

Barbara took care of our dear old lab/retriever mix George and our daughter’s young cockapoo Marty. She was quite professional in her approach and preparation for the job, and loving and caring for our boys. She provided customized care for five days while we attended our daughter’s out-of-state wedding and we and the doggies couldn’t have been happier!

Barbara has been a life saver for my busy family. She has taken fantastic care of our FIVE pets (yes, you read that right) multiple times now as we’ve traveled as a family. She is incredibly detail orientated, follows instructions to a “T” and is happy to accommodate you as best as she can. She sends frequent updates (including pictures!) and goes above and beyond to make sure your furry friends are happy and healthy and that your home is well cared for when you’re gone. We already have Barbara booked again for future travel plans. She is absolutely our number one choice to care for our home and pets and we would gladly recommend her to anyone looking (as long as you’re not trying to book her for the same time as us! 😊 ).

Barb was a life saver for us! We adopted our puppy Rosie shortly before a long planned family vacation, and we didn’t feel comfortable boarding her. Barb came to our house twice to meet Rosie and learn her routines. Once we were gone, Barb continued to work with Rosie on potty training, took her for walks, watered our plants, sent daily updates with pictures, etc. It was so comforting for us to know that we could enjoy our vacation without worrying about our puppy or our home. We were gone for two full weeks, and Barb treated our Rosie like she was her own pet and took incredible care of her. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to hire Barb and look forward to working with her again!

We got a puppy in December and knew we had some upcoming travel plans and would need a dog/house sitter. We heard about Barbara from a family member, and we booked her after meeting her. She is so kind and caring, which is noticeable right away.
Our trip finally came, and we felt so comfortably being away. We could really enjoy our time knowing she was taking care of the house and dog. She sent updates throughout the weekend and assured us that all was well.
She puts so much effort and detail into her job and made sure she had everything she needed before we left. Thank you Barbara! We hope to use your service again very soon.

We were hesitant to have anyone stay in our home. When we met Barbara we felt at ease. She was very professional and detailed oriented. She’s experienced and had many references. Our pups and cat loved spending the week with her. Barbara sent reports pictures and videos daily. Our house was clean when we left but much cleaner when we returned. She’s easy to work with and communicates clearly. We highly recommend her and will be using her in the future.

We couldn't find friends or family to watch our 12 year old Chihuahua while we were away on vacation, but luckily we found Barbara. Our dog is very needy, a picky eater, and experiences severe separation anxiety when we leave her. Barbara comforted my worries by sending updates and photos while we were gone. If you're lucky enough to get Barbara to watch your pets/house when you're gone, rest assured your pets/house are in good hands.

We had Barbara house and pet sit for us in December 2021, for a total of 14 days. We were very happy with her service in the following ways:
* Barbara met with us months beforehand and spent the time getting to know our dogs and reviewing the job demands.
* We had regular contact with her in the months prior to our trip, in which she readily engaged with us in discussing our schedules for both the house, and the dogs, and encouraged as much information as we could give her.
* Barbara, met with us again, two weeks before our trip, to go over the job specifics, and was forthcoming with a number of suggestions that created a more seamless transition of our dogs, for the morning of our departure.
* We got regular updates from her during our trip, and she maintained the house well during our absence. All, regularly expected, and minor issues that came up, were handled quickly and responsibly.
* When we returned home, it was obvious that our dogs were well taken care of and the house in order and well kept.

TRUE PEACE OF MIND
Barbara took care of our two large, noisy, somewhat intimidating dogs, one turtle, and the house for 2.5 weeks while we were away. It was truly a blessing to know everything was handled at home! The key to success started long before our trip away. Our dogs do not respond well to new people. Barbara came out months ahead of time to meet them. She was comfortable following the routine needed to ensure a successful first meeting, and it was clear immediately that our dogs liked her, she liked them, and everybody would do just fine!
Well before we left, Barbara took the time to make sure she understood the details of our routine (of which there were many!) and maintained regular communication while we were away. She easily handled last minute curve balls, like the carryover of different medical issues with both dogs that started in the month prior to us leaving. For us to be able to leave the dogs in their own home, with Barbara’s companionship, for about the same cost as it would be to send them to a kennel, was amazing! The transitions for us when leaving and returning from our trip were so smooth! In our dog’s world, it was as if we had never left. Barbara is truly a gem!

Barbara watched our dog, Izzie, (small breed) while we were gone for a week in July. This was the first time we left her with someone other than family and it was a bit worrisome… until we found Barbara. She came to meet us and our dog, and spent plenty of time with us so that we could get to know her and our dog could get comfortable with her. She was very thorough in all of her paperwork and in asking questions so that Izzie could have a comfortable routine as close as it could be to her 'normal' routine.
While we were gone, she sent notes and pictures every day so that we knew Izzie was happy and having fun! I felt totally comfortable leaving her with Barbara and I didn't worry a bit!
Barbara is very kind and caring and so wonderful with our precious pet! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to watch your special pet family member!

Barbara took great care of our pet while we were gone for a week for my daughter’s softball tournament. She first came to our home to meet us and our dog. She had a very caring and sweet nature about her. I feel that Barbara went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable about leaving our pet for that long. We got daily updates and pictures. I feel that Barbara treated our dog as well as she would have treated her own. I would highly recommend her. We are planning on having her pet sit for us for our future trips.

I was planning a trip abroad and in need of a special person to care for my five rescue dogs and four cats. It's not easy finding someone capable to care for my diverse group of pets. Barbara stayed at our home and watched our 2 dogs while we went on a family trip. It was the first time we had left the dogs with anyone outside of the family. As soon as we met Barb we knew we had found someone special. She is a lovely person - so warm and easygoing, but also very conscientious. She clearly takes the care of your home and pets very seriously. She was prepared with detailed requests for information about the dogs and the house so that she could be ready for any situation. She made sure that she had all of the dogs' medical information as well as a local emergency contact in the event there was an issue. She anticipates anything that could possibly come up so that you don't have to! Not only did she take loving care of the dogs, but she took care of my flowers in the yard and anything else that was needed around the house. She sent updates and pictures of the dogs everyday so my mind was at ease and I could enjoy my time with my family without worrying. She is a real find and I can't recommend her highly enough!

We have used Barbara’s services several times in the last two years. While away during summer vacations, she has cared for our outdoor flowers, picked up mail, checked for packages, etc. She communicates that same day with updates.
We also used her services to perform inside checks while gone for several weeks during this past winter. It was reassuring to know that heat was on, no water issues during her visits, all was fine inside and out.
Barbara is a wonderful communicator, very professional, also a very kind and caring person. We highly recommend her and her business!
